Remington 700 6mmHagar bolt

I have a Remington 700 .223 action to work with.
Can the .223 bolt be altered to extract and eject the Hagar cases properly/reliably?
The goal is a light carry hunting rifle so the repeater aspect is paramount.

Why the hagar? How bout a simple 6x45. Brass is easy, feeds like butter and is a proven design. Since your action was designed for this case there wont be any hiccups when it comes to feeding and ejecting
