Remington 7 SAUM brass

I keep reading how poor the Remington brass is.. My question is, just how bad is it? How many reloads will it get per case? Yes, I have some Remington 7 SAUM brass.

All I have is Rem 7saum brass, I have at least 5-6 firings on some of it, don't recall retiring any.

Remington brass is fine. Norma and Nosler are also good soft though when firing hot loads get 4 firings at the most. ADG is also good I wish Lapua would make brass for the RSAUM

I have some that is still going strong after 7 reloads. 6.5 SAUM loads for the most part are low pressure loads. Bolt operation is just the flick of a finger.

I had Remington for a 1000 Yard Prone Rifle Driving 180'S with H483sc .
No Trouble with the Brass.

I had 2 7SAUMs. Remington brass was WAY better than Nosler or Norma. 2 firings from Nosler brass= done. I had 6+ firings on Remington. I also necked down Norma 300 SAUM Brass that was showing promising results.

Brass life is determined a lot on how your brass/die/chamber match up.

I guess Remington brass is generally too soft and somewhat variable in quality; primer pockets open up with firings. But it seems to be somewhat variable, because some Remington is good for 4 or 5 firings. I have the best result with Norma 300 SAUM resized to 7 mm. This seems to be consistently good when fired in an AR-10. The AR works the brass pretty hard and Remington does not seem to like that as much as Norma. I fire 180 gr. Bergers almost exclusively. You do have to anneal the brass to prolong its life, but of course this doesn't help with the primer pocket issues I found with Remington. This includes new factory Remington rounds as well as reloads. I find factory rounds opened out the primer pockets the same as reloads using Federal magnum primers.
