I have the heavy barrel 541t. It will never leave my hands while I'm alive! When you find one, get a couple of James Reed mags for it. They complete the rifle. Saw a 541s at a gun show in perfect condition for $1150. Thought long and hard about buying it!

I recently bought a very lightly used S model for that same price. Also recently picked up a 1974 NIB S model but it cost me several dollars more. IMHO, The Remington 541 series of rifles are the most beautiful 22 bolt action rifles ever produced.

It shoots really well with RWS ammo, and comfortable to shoot. If I didn't have the other three rifles, I'd keep.
