For your consideration:
- Remington 40 XBR chambered in 6PPC w/.262 neck
- 27" Shilen barrel/14" twist
- Jewell BR trigger
- Does NOT include Weaver scope but does include rings/bases
- No bolt release and No ejector (hate when my brass gets beat up bouncing off the bench)
- Will include Wilson full-length bushing style sizing die and Wilson seating die
- Will include 100 pieces of unfired Lapua .220 Russian cases
- Will include a few (25 or thereabouts) pieces of neck-turned/fire-formed Lapua .220 Russian cases
Picked this up @ 4 years ago as an informal paper puncher/short-range varmint gun. Don't have any history previous to that time but did contact Shilen and they believe it was chambered by them. Have performed minimal load development but the 68 grain Berger FB seemed to perform fairly well along with the obiquitous VV133...typically low .2's to mid .4's
The barrel is long and heavy (1.25" at the muzzle) and it does ride the bags very nose-heavy. Would probably work well to lop off about 4-5" of barrel or add a couple of pounds to the butt. The gun weighs 14.2 lbs in its pictured configuration. Perhaps built as an old "Bag Gun"?
Does have the typical "safe scars" but in good condition overall.
Feel free to PM me for additional pictures and/or questions
Asking$1400 $1300 plus shipping to your FFL...thank you for looking
