Remington 40 X stock refinish

Morning everyone I would like to refinish this Remington 40 X stock in 22 long rifle single shot I would like to know how the stock was originally done from the factory and how to proceed with refinishing. Thanks for the help.

That’s possibly true I have never seen a factory 40 X stock, based on the condition the stock looks old.

If your wanting a gloss finish take to you local body man and have it cleared. Lots of options depending on how much work you want to put in it.
