Remington 40 X Stainless Single Shot

I have another ad on this forum for this rifle. It has some info and discussion. I am told it is a KS 40 X . The KS stands for Kevlar Stock. I am also told the stock is by McMillan. The rifle is unfired. $1600 shipped.

I don't recall McMillan ever working with Kevlar. I'm pretty sure they were made by Brown Precision. They made the stocks for the FS hunting rifles and some KS hunting rifles. My model 7 KS has a Brown Precision stock.

I'm no expert. The pad says REMINGTON. It has the palm swell on the right side.

Maybe a HS Precision stock?
I had factory Remingtons with HS stocks that have Remington marked pads.

I doubt if Remington is answering the phone right now. Only way I know to find out.

FWIW, I have exact same one, and mine says McMillan in the barrel channel

Yep, I carefully removed it from the stock and it does say McMillan in the barrel channel.
