Remington 37 Accessory Rail

I have a Remington Model 37 target rifle and have a question about the size of the accessory rail (there are 2). Is the size of these rails the same as a Anchutz/Freeland? I want to install a Sinclair 3” forearm benchrest adaptor on it and it is advertised to fit an Anschutz rail.

Thanks

Answer is, it all depends. If you have the original 37 rail, the slot will work with both Anschutz and Freeland -- the Anschutz piece that fits in the rail is a slightly better fit. However, it depends on how the manufacturer makes the whole item. I have a modern custom handstop that fits an Anschutz rail very well and fits in the 37 rail also (but tightens up differently than the 37 handstop). However, a couple of Anschutz factory handstops I have will not fit without alteration to the rest of the handstop, the slot on either side being too narrow for the 37. Maybe someone has tried the part you are looking at in a 37 -- about the only way to know.
