Several months ago I put a thread up here titled "One of Bayou Rifles Finest". It was a short post, extolling the prowess of Johnny Ingram shooting phenomenal scores in F-T/R. Well today (Sunday Jan. 17) Johnny decided to shoot his new 6mm Dasher in F-Open. If I am not mistaken, I believe this was Johnny's inaugural run in F-Open. Well if you think he is TOUGH to beat in F-T/R, you would be correct! However, his FIRST stab at F-Open has got to be one for the record books>>>Oh and it is!
We were shooting our regular registered 300 yard match today at Bayou Rifles. The day was a bit on the chilly side, especially in the morning. The winds ALL DAY were a comfortable 3-6 m.p.h. and pretty steady. There were let-offs and switches the entirety of the match, however, they were slow enough that if you paid any attention at all to the mirage and flags, you would not miss a wind call. So, needless to say, scores were pretty dang good. But GOOD is NOT the correct word for Johnny's score(s). The below is what Johnny shot today!
Match #1: 200-16X.... Not bad by any stretch of the imagination!
Match #2: 200-30X!!!!!! You read that correctly! 200-30X! Johnny tied the existing 300 yard F-Open National Record recently set! I did not know it was 30X's.. I was still under the impression that Shiraz Bilolia's 200-26X was still the reigning score! I did not know there was one recently set at 30X's! Well, Johnny TIED that record today! To say I am amazed at that level of proficiency is to belie just how impressed I am! So, not to let PHENOMENAL shooting settle him down, he goes on to match#3..
Match#3: 200-17X! >>> Total Aggregate for the day 600-63X's!!
Can you imagine a score like that? WOW!! Without a doubt, in both F-T/R and now F-Open, Johnny has shown what dedication and paying attention to detail can produce! He is truly one of Bayou Rifles finest!
