Rem. x mark pro trigger

Sorry, I wasn’t clear. I know the 40X will take a standard 700 trigger. But I thought that gun shipped with a trigger built for the 40X—a higher quality trigger than the X-Mark Pro. Guess I’ll do some research ...

Has anyone messed with the x mark? Is it worth messing with ? My smith has half a box of them he has replaced ,offered to give them to me as he hates them
Ya got me wondering how many of these I have- it’s a few—. I wonder how many different models there have been after the walker triggers.

Not sure ,I believe they have came out with a new one now. I was told anyway?

Why bother with a Remington anyway ? There are some custom action makers that are getting very affordable and other rifle makers delivering mass production rifles that are better quality all around. I bought my last Remington in 2004 and will never buy another new one. I might buy an older one for a donor but I’d be buying a quality trigger for it. If you are so tight for cash that an aftermarket trigger is an issue you can’t really afford to shoot anyway.

They do have a different trigger . Usually a 3 lever . It's changed designs 2 times I know of .

I have a half dozen 40X actions and clones. I swap triggers around as required. I have a lot of two ounce triggers but not so many standard triggers so I use what's in the drawer. The reason this particular 40X got the X-mark was because it was there. No other reason. As it happens, the trigger works well and is entirely satisfactory. WH
