Rem. model 722 bedding

hey guys, I have became the owner of a remington model 722 in .222 remington. I was going to bed it but i am not sure of how to bed this one with the bulge in the barrel. I would like to float the barrel but,do i bed up to the bulge or completely float to the lug. I have bedded many guns but none have had this bulge. any advice ?

thanks... i got it done got ready to go shooting and the trigger broke. so now i am waiting to get a new trigger. This remington is really beginning to irk me a bit. now i find out that i must machine the side of the tang to put on a Timney trigger..... according to my gunsmith. so much for having a nearly original model 722 .

What part of the trigger broke? I am very familiar with the 722 trigger, and I have never had a problem with one.

the safety half of the sear..... someone has given it a case of the bubbas. and it is missing the bolt release . I was going to fit a 700 bolt release to it but, the other parts are a no find round these parts.the housing is worn where the pin goes through it also..... and where the detent ball sits. seems as though the ball is catching on the sear.
