Rem M700 bolt jlock shroud replacement

I ran across a couple SS Rem bolt shrouds. I have a M700 sendero (7saum) with the j lock. After removing the jL shroud and installing the standard shroud the slot in the sear body is exposed when bolt(firing pin/spring) is cocked. Would I need a different sear or firing pin? Or just run with it, it does require extra work to remove the firing pin with the slot now of no use.

When you 'ditch' the J-Loc you need to replace the entire assembly, shroud, cocking piece, firing pin and spring. That J-Loc spring wads-up and rubs the inside of the bolt, thefiring pin gets 'skeletonized' for the shroud lock. The entire J-Loc was pi$$ poor design, just to satisfy the lawyers and insurance companies.
