Remington M78 280 Imp 40* The OG 280 Ackley
Not a Saami 280 Ackley Improved
Remington Model 78, the action was squared up. Remington 700 trigger tuned to 2 pounds
Barrel is a Hart 10 twist 5 1/2 contour 24” with a threaded 5/8x24 muzzle MBM Beast Self Timer (1st Gen.)
Stocked in a Bell and Carlson M40 Style with full aluminum bedding block. Skim bedded, standard LOP, BDL bottom metal. Pic rail
Including a 3 die set of Redding dies. Lots of formed brass 200 plus pieces
Shoots 140 & 150 ballistic tips very well. Shoots 168 VLD’s great also
Round count is 800-1000 I can send interested buyers a few pics of the bore
Barrel was originally chambered by Kenny Jarrett on one a “Beanfield Rifle” that a friend owned. It didn’t shoot as well as my friend wanted and he had Jarrett re-barrel it. I got it with about 200 rounds on it. I had it done up on a old M78 action I have not shot it a lot, developed a few loads and used it for a steel banger
Shoots very well
