that’s a bunch of great info Alex. Thank You very muchTypically each end of a 700 will have a slightly different bore diameter. many times running 703 in the front. But remember I said my 7015 was my most used? These actions are all warped, a lot of customs are too by the way. That warpage is why you dont run into a loose side, the mandrel is bound up from the warp and you need a smaller mandrel to slide through the whole bore. On the chance you ever get a loose one, use a .001 shim under the rod in the front or use the action screw to lightly touch the mandrel. The wear on the front end of the action is on the bottom where the feed ramp leaves a sliver of bore left. Thats also why I dont ream them, tool push off up front means that most all of the cut will happen on the feed ramp, even with the guide bushing. If I wanted to get crazy on a 700 Id lap it but I already do enough work that does not pay LOL.
