REM 700 question

What is the diameter of the safety detention ball on a Rem. 700 trigger?
Thanks
Melvin

It’s somewhere in between large enough to hear it hit the floor when you drop it and small enough that you’ll never find it. If someone doesn’t provide the correct answer I will measure one when I get home.:D

Yep, you got that right!:p
Thanks

When you get the size, let me know. I have some ones that might work. I used them on action jobs on S&W revolvers on the rebound slide.

I messed up and lost the little ball bearing in the extractor for a Rem 783. Remington wanted $2 for a replacement. A local supply house had 1/8 inchers for 12 cents apiece. Worked fine.
Comparing the safety detente ball and the 783 extractor ball side by side, the safety detente ball is noticeably larger.
