Rem 700 manufactured code. Help

Have a Rem 700 in 30-06 with this code on the left side of barrel in front of action. P 21
Doesn't seem to coincide with remington codes. Can't decipher this?

Just looked with a magnifier. Says EP 21
The E was hard to see.

That or 2018. It takes a little guessing sometimes to make it out. Usually you wind up using other features of the rifle to decide what era you're looking at.

By the looks of it, be a 67. Too worn, barrel pitted. Thanks for the help Adam.
