Rem 700 issue on ejecting a 6.5x47L

On a short action 700 when I eject the fired case It will move part way before clearing and act as such it has cleared the ejection port when not fully cleared and leaves a engraving mark on the neck if I do not manually guide the case until it clears the port. It does not do this on a 308 case, only the shorter 6.5 x47. Any ideas. So it appears the case is acting as it is ejecting prior to clearing the port. Also the same with a loaded round.

The case is hitting the corner of the bolt lug raceway. Not unusual.

how can it be corrected.

Without removing the barrel to polish that corner you can reduce the force of the ejector to minimize it.
