Receiver is a Remington 700 single shot short action .308 Win. bolt face.
The receiver was trued by Greg Tannel of GreTan Rifles in Colorado. The work done by Greg includes:
-Single point re-machine of the action thread, face and lug abutments, bolt lugs and face
- Bore the bolt raceway
- Double sleeve the bolt body
- Bushed fire pin hole and turned the pin
- Double pin the recoil lug and open for a larger tenon
- Lap the lugs
- Thread bolt handle and add 8x40 torx screw to handle
- Chamber-Thread-Crown-Engrave .308 Win., .341 neck diameter, .092 free bore
- Barrel is a Bartlein heavy varmint contour finished at 28"
- Removed bolt handle, modified handle for the Remington action, timed and re-brazed bolt
- Mini Badger bolt knob
- Sako med. extractor installed onto bolt
- Side bolt release installed onto receiver
Stock is as follows (stock is not bedded):
- McMillan XiT 70% black, 20% light green and 10% dark green molded colors
- Machined in aluminum pillars
- Inlet for Rem 700 single shot, Right Hand, Remington ADL trigger guard, .250" recoil lug and 1.3"-barrel channel
- Lightweight 3-way adjustable butt plate with 1" Decelerator pad
- 13.5 minimum length of pull
- Clamp bar adjustable cheek piece with round knob
- Anodized anshutz rail
Rifle will come with trigger guard, Jewell BR Trigger and EGW 20MOA base, all installed already. Action screws as well, obviously. Also included is a spare fire pin assembly that will fit the bushed bolt as well as dummy rounds that Greg used for chambering. I know this might be a shorter FB than what most are used to seeing, but the rifle was built to shoot unturned Lapua brass and Berger 200.20X and it does this well and you can achieve the accuracy nodes known/common to the 200 gr bullet. I was running 2585-2590 fps. with no high pressure.
1230 rounds on this barrel
This has been and still is, a great shooting rifle.
$2600 before shipping. *No Trades. First "I'll take it" gets it.
Will discuss shipping details with buyer.
*Reasonable offers will also be considered.
