Rem 700 action truing

I have a rem 700 long action that may be wore out . The bolt has a lot of movement and bluing is wore 80% on one side of the lug and 40% on the side.

What kind of price would be involved in something like this ? New bolt body or bushings and truing of lugs? Is it worth it.

I doubt that its possible to wear out a bolt action. All factory actions are sloppy. And as far as the 80/40 lug contact goes, that is far better than most new Remington actions i've fooled with.

I would just lap the lugs (with firing pin assembly removed of course) until you get 80-90% contact on both and shoot the heck out of it!!!

Oh yeah, don't forget to keep a dab of grease on those lugs.
