Rem. 600 project

I know that they chambered the 600 Rem in other cartridges.

But did anyone else read the title of the thread and hope it was the 350 Rem Mag??

When I first got out of the Army, a couple of my friends wanted to go deer hunting. I did not own a Rifle.

I went To Richard’s Pawn Shop in East Houston and found a REM 600 in 350 Remington Magnum. It had a cheap 4x scope on it. I bought some “green box” 250 Remington ammo and went over to the old Lake Houston Gun Club, which was open untill 10M, to sight it in.

That was probably the most uncomfortable rifle I had ever shot. The muzzle blast and recoil was pretty severe. The ball of fire out the muzzle was impressive.

I went on the hunt, did not shoot anything, and sold that thing when I got home.

I kinda wish I had it now.
