Rem 504 ?

had a couple of 541's for pd at 100 or under,, using cci minimag. worked great.

ran into the 504, noting is shorter stk and bbl, lighter weight, considered it a possibly a better " car" gun for those short shots in the pasture.

seems to me the action, bbl and trigger are workable, but find the stock "loose" i have bedded, free floated and put a pressure point just back of the front of stock. much better but the stock seems to "flex" at the grip if i am not carefull.

any of you have one, simular concerns, offer a solution?

if i am very careful it will shoot CCiMINIMag into3/8 " at 50 off bags, good, but the stk flex buggs me.

Had two of them, sold them both. Still have my 6 different 541 models.

Trigger can be made nice but accuracy was so-so. Also have a tendency to loosen the bolt handle. Very nice looking guns but just didn't seem to meet quality expectations. And my 541s were MUCH better shooters.

I don't recall any stock flex with mine, but then again, I didn't try too hard either. That might be the reason it would throw a flier though.
