Rem 40x

Im assuming a .22lr considering this is the rimfire section
I neglected to read the heading...

Troupe, best of luck with your new rifle. A shooter can have lots of fun with the .22LR, gain lots of trigger time and it doesn't cost what a center fire does. You'll have great fun testing which ammo your rifle likes best. A 40x should be a great rifle for you.

Good luck, Peter.

Thank you pintopete, I am looking forward to it. I did not realize the following till I found mine. I have already been offered $1800, but I am going to keep it.

They are a great rifle. I shoot mine twice a month in local benchrest matches and its always near the top if not at the top against the Anschutz's.

I am looking forward to shooting it. Still have to get a scope, then find the ammo that it will like.

Congrats troupe! I picked one up a few years back on a whim, it's a very respectable shooter. Do experiment with different ammo, I found mine has a tendancy to shoot SK Standard Plus better than most others. One other interesting note about this rifle that took some time to figure out, even as large as the stock, action and barrel is, my rifle doesn't like any contact by the shooter when it's touched off - a trigger pinch...
my 2¢

Mine likes CenterX but i am going to try some Midas plus sometime, but i still got half a case of centerx left. Mine also shoots best with just a finger pinch on the trigger and im running a Jewel benchrest trigger.

I'm personally not in favor of the "pinch". My triggers are light enough to just need a very light touch. Mine are at 1- 1 1/2 ounce.
