Reloading Trailers ??? What became of Them ?

In the 70,80,90's you would see numerous reloading trailers at Ranges and shooting events. Some was a thing of Beauty. I remember them showing up on this board for Sale from time to time. Made it so easy to work up a load at the Range...... What ever Happen to Them ???

You still see them at multi-day matches when the range allows for them.

Some guys I know run out to shoot prairie dogs and take two trailers, one to stay in and the other is their workshop. I tell my wife jokingly, that when I grow up I want to be just like them... LOL

She agrees, but at present where we live, the parking is too expensive so my range loading is only occasional and just several boxes I can throw in my truck.

I can only speak about short range IBS benchrest score shooters. Most now load at home.

We have a feller at the local club that uses one. It is exceptionally nice and I want one (but I don’t need one). He is set up inside to do everything.

I know this is old thread but I have been thinking of buying one.
I can buy a tonneau cover for 1500 but it i sell my pickup it's wasted money.
I have been trying to find a way to keep my stuff in secured and ready to go .
Now when I decide to I have to plan in advance to losd stuff up the night before.

I have one.

No trailer for Nationals or other several day matches...NO ME. A 2 gun where I can load inside is doable.

More like, what happened to the "shooters" that used to use them? Not as many folks shooting at matches? Maybe $$$$ related?

On THAT subject. got any friends that are getting "long in the tooth", might consider checking on them MORE OFTEN.
Good shooting buddy (brother from another mother) use to travel an hour + to meet at the range. Had heart issues and problems finding the proper does of meds to make life livable. Did have to unload his gear one time and set him up at the bench, shoot then load him back up so he could head back home.
One time, cut me off short on a phone call and it was hard getting in touch again. Never gave it a second thought till I lost contact.
Both he and his wife with medical issues. Him heart, her liver cancer.
Used to send them both B Day and Christmas cards. They never wanted visitors at their home.
Got a card from his sister telling me that if I wanted any info on him to give her a call. She saw the unopened B day card I had sent to him so she responded to me.
He had died maybe 6 months earlier. Their home had burned earlier so they moved up to the "office" a 2 story unit over the garage.
HE had to take a couple on Nitro tabs to get up the stairs!!
She ended up in the hospital and he would go to visit her and ask her to come home and show him how to get back to the house after grocery shopping.
After HE died, his sister said it was a blessing in disguise for her (his wife) as she was well taken care of and kept clean staying in the hospital.
Things were worse than anybody could imagine. Ins, Co paid for the home loss but after his death, Ins. Co, check for BIG $$$$$ was found un cashed on the table.
He was begging for $$$ from his sister to help pay for their meds.
I had given him $$$$ and NEVER expected it to be returned.
Life is way too short and getting EVEN shorter.
Don't let your friends get away from you!!!
