Reloading ?'s

Great site. I need help with a few reloading questions. Two different guns, both 22-250's .

1. Savage - having "sticky" rounds extracting spent cartridge. Once in awhile downright awful sticky,1 or 2 out of 10). Second loading of cases. We didn't full length resize this year, just the neck sizing. Possible that we should have full length resized? Is that indicative of excess pressures as well, if not, does the sticky rounds pose any other problems with the chamber or hurtful to gun in any way ?

2. Kimber - Same press, 2nd or 3rd time thru cases, just neck
sized again. Opposite problem, having troubles loading and locking the round in the gun. Once fired no problems extracting.
2 or 3 of 10 cannot load at all.

Both guns have been reloading a couple years for and have not had
any issues. Now we just neck sized this year and are having these problems. We did the trim to lengths, etc. Where did we go wrong? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you could benefit from FL sizing ;)

Just make sure you don't bump the shoulder too far back. 0.001-0.002" is plenty

Stickey coming out is usually nothing but a pure pressure problem, and stickey going in is a not sized enough problem.
Size them down enough so they will go into the chamber with just a tiny bit of resistance, with the firing pin assembly out of the bolt so you can feel them in the chamber.

Your not interchanging these in both guns are you ?

No, not interchanging them. Well it sounds like FL sizing was
it. Thats what I first thought. Do not like whats happening
to the Savage reloads. Without being able to measure the psi
are we playing russian roulette with the Savage being they are
sticky? No apparent issues looking at the primers but don't know that matters with the case sticking already. Definately
on the high pressure side already. Just wondering if we shouldn't start pulling bullets.

When in doubt, pull them...I had to pull 100 from the loads that I loaded for the F-Class Nationals this year, never did figure out what was going on with them.
