Reloading in the Movies

Just watched the 2017 movie Wind River (set in Wyoming in modern times) and was surprised to see the reloading scene. In it, a Wyoming Fish & Game officer, played by Jeremy Renner, is seen chamfering a case, weighing a charge on a scale, pouring the charge into a case, and seating a bullet. It's a long straight-walled case that I'm guessing is a 45-70. His rifle is a stainless lever-action gun which is probably either a Marlin 1895 or Henry 45-70, but I could be wrong about that. Seems like an odd choice for the wide open spaces of Wyoming, but the shooting scenes seemed well done. Anyone else seen the movie?

I remember the Jack Reacher scene. Thought the case trimmer was cool old school.

Not a "reloading scene" but I love the scene in the "Punisher" trailer that shows a mag that he then loads into an AR. I noticed the primer hit in the primer in the first pass. Rewind (remember that) and freeze, you can't see the primer but there is an ejector swipe on the second case.

The reloading scene was disturbing with the amount of chamfer he put on that thin walled 45-70 case. The 300 yard shots with the lever action were rather fantastical. The decision to clear the trailor with multiple bad guys in it AFTER being bear sprayed was comical.

But I really did like the movie, and I appreciate the attempt at adding realistic detail.

In the movie Tremors, the Dillon vibratory case cleaner attracts the giant worm that busts through Bert Gummer’s basement wall knocking over his reloading bench

Howdy !

In the movie “ Valdez is Coming “, there’s a nice scene where Burt Lancaster ( Bob Valdez ) is reloading cases for a biga$$ Sharps.
