reloading for SFAR

Hi, new here. Hopefully one of you will know, I just got a SFAR, I have a standard RCBS FL die set which works fine for my M1, do I need to use a small base die to size the brass for the SFAR?

Long story short.....it depends. I would think it would be unnecessary, but that depends on what powder you use, how hard you push it, and especially, how overgassed it may be

I learned a loong time ago that there's way too much gas in an ar10 than is needed, I was having horrible malfunctions. I got small base dies, that didn't help until I tried an adjustable gas block.
I have a SFAR in 6.5 Needmore and 308 Winchester, I do not use small base dies.
Both are 20" barrel, rifle length gas system. I chose this option because of the lower gas pressure at the gas block, which makes a less violent extraction.
Also, I'm using an Odin works adjustable gas block which has 20 gas settings as opposed to the Ruger's 3 settings.

Do you have the carbine/mid- length 18 bbl or 20" rifle gas system? This info could make a difference in what dies you use.
