reloading for 300 win mag

just started reloading for 300 win mag is re-22 too temperture senstive for hunting?if so plz tell what other powders to use.

I use VihtaVuori N165 for my .300 win mag, I use the same load from -15°C to +15°C and it stays spot on and does sub 1" groups at 300m

that's 5°F to 59°F without noticable change.

and I use the 185gn Lapua Scenar and CCI Magnum primers

the load is 78.7gn N-165.

I found H4831 and 165/180's very accurate and stable at Wy, id temps vs GA hometemps

50-60degrees home and 0-40 western.

Well, it does loose some velocity when it gets colder, sometimes a lot, but it is what I use and adjust some if the temp. is a lot colder. RL22 has always been very accurate in my winnie, by the way, 168 TTSX seated about .060" off with RL22 has been scary accurate in my rifle, Dave

If you plan on running the heavy stuff, try H-1000. I'm running it with 210 Bergers with very good success. Velocities tend to be a little lower with the powder, but it usually is the most accurate in the rifles I've tried it in. I'm running 210's at 2940 out of a 27 inch Bartlein with no pressure signs.
