Reloading components in CA

I know that there is a shortage of reloading components nationwide, but here in CA it seems to be worse. I keep reading on this and other forums about people going and buying components from local stores, and last weekend I went to a Cabella's in Nevada and I couldn't believe my eyes... I felt like a kid in a candy store, like being in the "Ammo Land". Reloading components, ammo, you name it. Then on Monday I went to a local Bass Pro and the shelves were empty like after a raid. What's going on?

Pending legislation could potentially ban Internet sales of ammo and possibly reloading components, depending on amendments to the bill. This may not be legal, but if passed, it would take some time in court to overturn. A Kalifornia then may feel more panicked than people in other states, even if they do not know about pending legislation. They know they live in an extremely hostile place and the natural human reaction is to defend yourself. And here, that means getting all you can when you can.
