Reloading 357, is a crimp needed?

Interesting. When I read the instructions, I could have sworn it said a 1/2 turn was a light crimp?

That’s what I thought too, I’m the set it and forget it type of loader once I fine tune the dies.

I have found under 1/4 turn of crimp there will be an out of group bullet impact, I set the crimp between 1/4 and 1/2 for the 38 +p loads I usually load for fun/plinking. I shoot jacket bullets with cannelure.

I use Redding profile crimp in 357 41 and 44. Kind of surprised I haven't seen them here. Lee is probably just as good. Redding may not even make them anymore (although they came 1st and did all the research!)
