Reloader 15 in a 6mmbr

Hello, I am wondering how many of you are using Reloader 15 in your 6mmbr? What are the + or - over using varget? thanks for all opinions. Ron Tilley

In my 6BR, RE15 is a tad more accurate than Varget, and feeds thru the powder measure just a bit smoother. Recently accuracy tested five powders, with other identical components, and RE15 won out.

In my barrel the opposite is true. When I got Reloader 15 up to where it would burn clean the pressure was excessive. New brass at the web expanded .003 on the first firing which is way above the under .001 level I consider acceptable. Conversely Varget burned cleaner with less pressure,.0007) at the velocity and accuracy level I was looking for.

I switched to r15 after getting low velocity and MUCHO carbon from Varget...

R15, 30.8gn, ~2950fps 106CR = :)

I STILL have not measured any CH expansion, sorry Danny) but just loaded up some cases for the 5th time last night, that have all been beaten with hot loads) and the primers seated as they were new ;)

I'm burning RL-15 in two different 6BR's 30.0 + with 105 Amax's @ around 2875 +
and it seems to be a winner in both guns. Burns cleaner than Varget so far and clean up is a breeze. I'll run it with the new 98grain BIB's when they get here in a few weeks
and see if it works as well with them.

in my 27inch Broughton I am getting 2900fps with 31 gr varget and Berger 95's. The same set up with RE15 yields 2950fps but is slightly less accurate with groups opening a bit at 100yds.I have not tried RE15 with 105 or 107 bullets but I think RE15 would be just as accurate as varget with the 95 bergers if I fiddled with the load a bit.I have 7 pounds of varget to burn up first and see no real gain with RE15 in my barrel with the bullets I am using now.
