Release agent for JB weld bedding


 
Brownells Acra Release is the best I've used. I don't do so much epoxy bedding that cost is much of a factor. Carnauba Paste Wax is a good thing as well if you can find it.
 
One can only apply ONE coat of any wax. Most if not all wax has a solvent base,and is classified as an evaporative (sp?) finish. Whether the coating is one hour old, or one decade, the next coat dissolves any wax left on the surface and the carrier evaporates, leaving one coat. That's the way it is...

I do multiple coats to negate the possibility of missing any spots.

This is why I prefer a spray, mold-release agent. Gets into every nook and cranny, it's impossible to have any voids in coverage. I'll spray inside the receiver as well before packing it with clay. Any epoxy manages to seep in where it's not wanted it comes right off.
