Register Now!!! Freedom Benchrest 1000 Yard Nationals - Williamsport Sept. 26-28, 2025

I can't wait to get away from South Florida heat and possible hurricanes....oh wait that hurricane part would ground me home

Are You going to join in the “fun times” Captain ? :)
No.

Way too expensive for me. Retired 26 years ago on a fixed pension with NO cost-of-living. It will cost at least $1,000 to go and do that shoot. Then I have a driving issue.

After a few hundred miles I have fallen asleep and driven off the road - twice. Fortunately no crash and kill. Now I take energy drinks with me on any longer drive and some nicotine pills. Driving has become a bit of an ordeal.

You will have lots of Manatee shooters there - probably 6-8. Enjoy the experience.

How does Chip draw work? Do We need to be present?

Thanks BB … :)

Hi!

For the chip draw, you pick a chip out of a bucket for each relay that you will shoot for Light Gun (3 targets) and Heavy Gun (3 targets). If the chip says 511 - you will shoot your first target in relay 5, bench 11. Next chip says 902 - you shoot your second target in relay 9, bench 2. Etc.

We prefer you are there to draw your chips, but if you are traveling and won’t be there in time, we can draw your chips for you. :)

For "Tactical Class" are muzzle brakes more commonly seen on PRS style rifles allowed? I know other classes only allow radial stlye brakes. Thank you. I found the following info on the range website

"Tactical Gun:No weight restrictions apply. Gun must have a fully functioning magazine for the cartridge thebarrel is chambered for. Gun may be semi-automatic or a bolt gun. Semi-automatic guns mustuse a chamber flag when not at the bench for the associated relay. Caliber may not exceed .308in diameter. Muzzle Brakes and Suppressors are allowed (Range Owners always have the optionto prohibit rearward discharging muzzle brakes). All rifles may be fired in a single shot manner.Bipods, Sandbags or Mechanical Front rests may be used. Rear bags typical to our light gunclass are allowed. " @BB1000Yard appreciate your help on this
