Reforming 22-250 SRP Cases

Has anyone reformed brass to a 22-250 small rifle primer. If so, what did you use and how did you do it? After studying cartridge diagrams, it looks to me like the Peterson 6XC might be the best, easiest, parent case. Due to the combined fact that I can no longer get quality Lapua 22-250 brass, nor large rifle primers I dreamed up this possible solution<!?!>

I've got some new R-P BR brass that would work well. At one point many years/projects ago I was going to get a Cheetah built.
Not to hijack this thread..but your avatar reminds of my friend Harold in Colorado. He Also shot some big deer in the eastern plains of the Rockies.
Back to this thread I am running low on large rifle primers and may try the XC brass to feed my 22-250s,they are hungry for ground hogs :)

I did it with 6 creed SRP cases. I get sticky bolt closing and lift. But not too bad.
I did notice that I had hang fires and no fires on 30% of the cases in colder weather, 40 degree
using the same powder ( superformance) in both LRP and SRP, The XC brass might solve the sticky bolt but wouldn't you still get the hang fires in colder weather?

I wouldn't want to use Creedmoor or 308 family cases. They have a larger diameter base than a 22-250.

My 6.5 CM and 308 Win reamer have a .4714" spec at the .200 line. My 22-250 Improved reamer has a .4693" spec.

The case base diameter of the 22-250 is 0.473" just like the 30-06 and its derivatives the 308 class cartridges. look it up

SAAMI 22-250 Remington Cartridge and Chamber Drawing lists 0.4668 for the maximum cartridge base size.

I recently was contemplating this idea as well. I was thinking of Lapua 6.5 Creedmoor SRP as well as 6.5x47L as I have both on hand.

The 6XC was originally based on the 22-250. Somewhere along the line folks started using other brass, 308 base, to form the XC. They ran into the larger diameter at the .200 line an the sticky bolt/clickers. Be careful if using 6xc brass. Some is made to the larger spec at the .200 line.

Been there, tried that with regards to forming 308 to 250Savage.
Doesn't quite work.
Converting 308W to 22-250, I ran the 308W in a 30-06 die before going to the 250 Savage die. Putting this taper in towards the shoulder before the 250 Savage die helped immensely.
