Reduced Course NRA High Power Match at Gallatin, TN April 16, 2016

The monthly 100 yard reduced course NRA High Power Rifle match will be conducted at the Gallatin Gun Club Range, Gallatin TN, Saturday April 16 with registration starting at 8:00. The high power program at the Gallatin Gun Club Range is an excellent training venue for the new shooter and the experienced shooter as well. The participants Saturday will include new folks that have attended the beginner clinics at the Gallatin Range, the Elk River Club in Pelham and AEDC. The new shooters will be squaded with the experienced shooters to facilitate coaching and sharing of equipment as needed. New shooters that need ammo or equipment for the event may contact the Match Director, Mark Long prior to the match to make arrangements. Five members of the new Elk River Rifle Club from Pelham TN plan to travel to Gallatin this Saturday to shoot the High Power match. Some of you have helped with the beginner training for these folks. We can expect to see some of them on the AEDC “Big Range” this year.

This was a great match today, perfect weather and a well run match. The range was at near capacity with two relays. Jason Stivers ran the line like clockwork. There were many new shooters, most have been thru one of the recent beginner clinics and they are making great progress. The winner was a junior, Jason Stivers with a score of 470-8X. The match at Gallatin next month will be the Reduced Course TN State Champiopnship

Next month the GGC monthly match will be the NRA Tennessee Reduced Course State Championship. The scores from this match will also count toward the Tennessee High Power Rifle Governors 20. This will be a great match and will be well attended.
