Redding T7 spent primer problem

Thanks for measuring!
I had some 1/2" OD tubing so I cut a piece to the correct length then sliced a section out so it fit snuggly into the center of the ram. Works perfectly!!!!!
Now here is a smart guy. Desn't have the exact same thing s0 he modifies what he has and makes it w0rk. A wise man.......

I jammed a green pencil in the slot. I ran a tube through the bench to a bottle.
It works well.
I do not prime on the press.

I have never had a problem with my T-7's while de-priming cases, the primers fall down the ram into the clear catch tube thats provided with it, it holds 1000's of primers. Every once in a while some may get jammed up but not often. If you scroll down the instructions page you will see a photo of where the catch tube is connected to the bottom of the ram.

I used a longer piece of clear tubing and have a coffee can on the bottom shelf of my bench. Works just fine, it did get backed up with a .25 caliber bullet stuck down in there someplace.

A few years ago I "temporarily" stuffed some modeling clay in the slot.

It's still there.....

I have a Redding big boss , and had the same problem , easy fix , with a large straw from a thick shake . about 1&3/4" long 1/2"dia . To remove use needle nose pliers . thumbnail (24).jpg

So this my not be the cheapest but it is the cleanest by far. This came with a 3D printed primer catcher for the Big Boss but this piece fits the T7 also. It has a magnet so it stays in place and it functions very well, I think the whole thing was 10 or 12 bucks.

The first pic is on the T7.

This picture showing the complete catcher is on the Big Boss.

Are these for sale somewhere?

Are these for sale somewhere?

Amazon, where else?

This is the search phrase I used, "Redding big boss primer catcher", looks like $14 for the whole thing, I did not see that you can buy just that one piece you are looking for. You may be able to contact the selller to get that one part.

Hope this helps.
