Redding T7 spent primer problem

Does anybody have a good solution to spent primers going everywhere after depriming cases on the T7? I usually use my CoAx, which catches EVERYTHING, but some things can't be done on that wonderful press. Most of them go down the ram, but a good many of them wind up on the floor. I don't use the press for priming, so any kind of blockage of the groove would seem to work well. Thanks for any ideas!

There is a fix I use on my Big Boss 2. The fat drinking straws that barely fit inside the ram cut off at the bottom of the shell holder slot works great but I prime with a ram prime or derraco engineering precision prime die. Wont work with the press priming system though

I hang a coffee can underneath.

Just fixed mine last year. Get a small clear plastic tube that just slides down int the hollow center that the primers fall threw. Mine has no priming tube set up i hand prime mine. It's thin wall clear plastic tube abut 2' long. seals f the opening so no more primers fall out. easy t0 remove if you need t. Works 100% now for me.

This is exactly the simple, but ingenious fix that I was looking for! Thank you for the ideas so far guys!

Does the drinking straw tend to slide down the ram, or drift out of place at all?

Can you provide the OD of the tubing? I can probably get some at Home Depot.
I mostly use my Coax for depriming and primers are caught in a plastic tube when I need the Redding Ultra Mag Press for the big stuff.

I just pulled the plastic tube 0ut and measured it 0D is 7/16" and it slides in with easy and back 0ut. I cut it about 1 5/8" long works perfect. Slide it down till its a Wisker below the still ram and take it 0ut and time need......

I have never had a problem with my T-7's while de-priming cases, the primers fall down the ram into the clear catch tube thats provided with it, it holds 1000's of primers. Every once in a while some may get jammed up but not often. If you scroll down the instructions page you will see a photo of where the catch tube is connected to the bottom of the ram.

Can be bought at auto store, Ace Hardware , etc.

Thanks for measuring!
I had some 1/2" OD tubing so I cut a piece to the correct length then sliced a section out so it fit snuggly into the center of the ram. Works perfectly!!!!!

I spent the big bucks on a spent primer catch, cost around $40. Luckily I was able to use the powder to load ammo. Haha. I just cut a Tac powder bottle down and used the top half. A piece of doubled tape keeps it from moving so when it fills up with 4-5000 primers I can remove it and dump it. My ram kicks a primer out the front occasionally so I may have to do a filler just to stop that but its really pretty rare. I don't prime with my primer attachment
