Redding Instant Indicator question:

I love using them for various tasks and was wondering if I could use my 224 Valkyrie die to check shoulder bump on 6ARC. They have the same shoulder angle and shoulder diameter, and I really don't want to buy another indicator if I don't have to! Lol Thanks for any input.

Does the 224 Valkyrie and 6 ARC use the same bushing for shoulder measurement?

The datum line/bushing on the valkyrie is .340

It will work fine. You are comparing shoulder bump, not measuring it.
The base line on the 6arc is .023 larger, but the valkyrie indicator should have no problem accepting it.

Thank you, I was hoping it worked!

Just following up:
I tried using the 224 Valkyrie die and the body of the indicator was too narrow. Instead, I used the 6BR indicator, complete with its data line bushing and it worked perfectly! Yessssss! Lol
