Redding full length w/bushing

Question: should I remove the expanding plug?
I neck size, then full length when you needed.
6.5x284.
OD w/ carbide expander= .295
OD w/o the carbide expander =.292
bushing=.293
loaded round=.294
Forster CO-AX press

Lapua brass

The brass seems a bit more concentric without the expander.
Bullets are a bit loose with some pieces of brass if I use the expander.
Your thoughts are appreciated.

In my limited experience, if you are using the right size bushing, you should have no need for the expander ball. Take it out and leave it out.

Sounds like your sizing the brass down with the bushing, then sizing it up with the expander ball. Would not matter how small a bushing was used, the expander would open the brass back up. With the expander you can not control the size of the neck, and your working the brass twice.
