Redding dies - Best prices

Hi All-

I'm in the market for a Redding Type 'S' FL 6mm Dasher sizing die, part no. 77648.

For those of you that have bought Redding "custom" dies, where did you find the best price(s) at?

I'm not looking for a place to simply buy them, I'm looking for the best price for them. I know I can get the dies direct from Redding but, they do not have the best prices.

Thank you,
-Rick

If I were you, I'd check either www.shooters-supply.com or www.brunoshooters.com. Might have call them both to see if they have them in stock and how much it'll run. I've found these two to beat other prices.

Just bought dies for my Dasher 2 months ago. Ordered the Type S from Redding. They charge full retail price, $148. Redding does not stock the Dasher seater die. You need to buy a 6 BR Norma seater and have your smith run the reamer in it. So I bought a competition seater from Bruno at $85 and the smith charged me $20 to run the reamer in and open it up.

Your local dealer can order the Type S from Redding, but the only one they keep in their inventory is (I think) the .269 neck. You will need to send them your reamer print.

I later thought - I shoulda called Harrels. I believe you can have them make a F/L die if you send them two fired cases. You might need to borrow cases from a friend who has a Dasher with same reamer already set up.

Not sure on best pricing, but www.gunstop.com has a them listed on their web site.

To get 6MM Dasher comp. seaters the min order is 25 that came from Pat Ryan a while back. He has since left Redding in a career change.

I am afraid they are not too many choices on this subject. You just have to find it and buy it.

I agree that Harrells is your best choice. Have them make one from two fired cases. Probably be wise to twice fire them so as to be certain dimensions are perfect. Not sure of their current price, but a couple years ago they made one for me at $75.00.
