Redding Bushing Dies 260 Remington Inquiry

I just acquired a Savage 12 LRP in 260 Remington and need to order dies. With regards to "Redding", which dies do I need to create the most accurate ammo possible?

This is what I have come up with so far.

-Redding Competition Seater die
-Redding FL Bushing Die
-Redding Neck Bushing Die

Basically, if someone did not have any dies for a 260 Rem and only wanted to purchase dies one time, which ones should I get?

The fact that Reddings website can be all kinds of confusing does not help with choosing dies any easier:)

Am I missing anything? If any of you are using something different, I would love to know.

Thanks,
Shawn

A Redding Type "S" bushing die properly set up will keep the neck, body and shoulder at the right dimensions on each loading. You can use whatever seater suits your fancy. I use a Forster competition seater for my .260 but I have Redding competition seaters for other calibers and like them too. I also use Wilson seaters with an arbor press for my best accuracy rigs.

You won't know what size type "S" bushing to get until you select your brass, decide whether to turn the necks, select your bullet, and load a few dummy rounds so you can measure the outside neck dimension. Your bushing will be one or two thousandths under that. If you are using flat base bullets there will be a pressure ring at the base that affects this, wheras the boat-tail bullets will not have this.

Some folks use a body die and a Lee Collet die for two-step sizing and like it. I am about to try this with one caliber I just acquired. No special reason, just wanting to try something different that a lot of people swear by.

Thanks..

The 260 brass for starters will be 40 rounds of Federal Premium factory 120 grain bt's to break the gun in followed by Laupa brass for the rest. I would like to have the option to full length re-size for the initial sizing of the Laupa brass and when the bolt gets hard to close. For the rest, I would prefer bushing neck sizing only.

One question I do have would be is a full length bushing sizer necessary over a regular full length sizing die?
