I just received a new BR-30 powder measure. I plan to use this on my Dillon 550B for basic AR loading. I was surprised to find the inside of the device a very rough casting finish. the small chamber just above to powder cylinder is polished. But the first portion of the funnel area just below the plastic cylinder is really rough.

Any other owners I would like to know if that is what you found. Did anyone polish this at all or just use it as it comes?

Mine is pretty old, has same interior finish. I have no issues with that material, but I seldom use my BR30 much any more since I bought a Harrells.

It does not need to be polished. If you set it up on a progressive, do not expect it to throw accurately.

Put it alone and practice with it with varied powders. i think you will find it to be very accurate.

I am hoping to have a little better accuracy with this redding than the dillon powder bar with rifle loads. (not extruded powder)
