I want to take a few minutes this morning to say Thank You to Everyone that made this year a success. First I want to Thank Tom and his family for really going above and beyond without Tom’s Love for this sport and the people in it this would have never have happen . To everyone at NC1000 at the time this started Thank You for believing in Mike ,Randy,Steve and myself to pull NC1000 out and have it successfully in again without this piece of the puzzle it would never have been possible to do everything we have done. To the IBS Thank You for investing in us from the start it really help out a lot. To all of our members new and old this is about you it’s about one big happy family that absolutely makes it fun to go and shoot . To everyone in the Washington County that has shown support from day one our goal is to have you all a place to go and safely shoot and learn .I have to say Thank You to Donna for all her help in taking care of things at home while most of my time was spent in GA . Little did we know what the future would hold for us and we never dreamed it would end in a heartbreaking fashion the loss of Brian Dent was hard on myself Tom and Mike as well as Blake and Donna it really hurt but looking back something really good came out of that and I hope and pray we keep his name alive and well through scholarships each year . Thank You Rhonda for allowing us to continue using Brian’s name to help others. Most of all Thank God for Blessing us all at the Red White and Blue.
Now for the future . When we start back you will see more improvements from Bathrooms and Showers ,full time power a bunkhouse as well as a few RV hook ups we will also have lights up for a little surprise when the schedule comes out . We also plan on having the 100 and 200 yards and meters finished as well as pistol range for our law enforcement friend and pistol shooters. We are also adding some steel targets through out the range for practice for our members as well as the hunting club members . We are also looking at adding steel minute plates at the 1000 yard targets to better serve our long range shooters. We have plans in the future to look at adding e targets and other disciplines to our all ready amazing group but with everything I have mentioned it will all take money and support we are open to sponsorships to donations as well as we have a couple of raffles planned this coming year . If you want to renew your membership you can do so now by sending in your dues for next year and if you read this and want to join the cost is 60.00 a year PM me for more info and details .
The last thing we have left for this year is to announce our 2 NC 1000 scholarship winners if you as a member are looking at going back to school or already in school please send us all your information and a brief summary of your plans and email it to me .If you are a child of a member going or getting ready to go to a college please due the same I would like to have have all entries in by December 15 that will give us time to review and make a decision. This will be for [2} 250.00 scholarships.
