Recommended Rimfire Suppressors?

We are not allowed suppressors in Oz but I was wondering what you do in the USA if you damage a suppressor beyond repair? If it's registered with the ATF can you dispose of it? How does it get off your record? Assuming via a FFL.

I run mostly Rugged Suppressors... Full Auto belt fed machine gun rated with unconditional lifetime warranty. You have it, they fix it or replace it.

I'd love to run a suppressed 300 BLK with my thermal scope. Would be great for a mob of pigs when hunting on foot. I tried some .308 subsonic (no suppressor) but it is still very loud and didn't offer any advantage. Still needed hearing protection.

Does the barrel have to be taken off and put in a lathe, turned to the proper diam. and threaded? What's the approximate cost?

The ideal for me is one that George and I can make on one of our lathes and add to an existing rifle and need NO PAPERWORK. I am hoping SBRs and cans can go to zero regulations. I might even spring for a solvent trap, even with a 148.9 % tariff.

Stick with the CCI Quiet, the ones that open into 3 petals, I have used them in a 1908 Savage with a really long octagonal barrel.
About the same sound level as a high power slug gun... WHACK!
The extra long barrel really helps... They will drop a lot and if you are sighted in for 50 that is about ok for 25..
Strap a flashlight on the barrel and be sure of your backdrop {my yard has a brick fence all around} and they are He|| on prowling cats at night and the neighbor's lights don't suddenly come on...
You want to know your backdrop though as they will penetrate an old phone book about 3/4 of the way though at 3 meters... Having a brick fence helps...

Initially, my plan for rodent control was to shoot the Aguila Colibris, which are super quiet but also somewhat hard to find. With rifle length barrels the regular Colibri (400fps) have been known to get stuck / not enough energy to clear a 16” barrel. To avoid this potential issue I managed to track down a flat of the Super Colibri (20gr / 590fps)… super quiet and shoot 1” at 15 yards. Acceptable for shooting backyard pests.

I tested out some of the CCI Quiet “Specialty” that are Round Nose (29gr and 40gr versions) going 710fps. These both shot much smaller than the Super Colibre. They are a little bit louder than the Super Colibri, but superior accuracy without the flyers and groups stay together at 25 yards. The 40gr variety is slightly more accurate than the 29gr version, which I assume is do to more bearing surface / contact with barrel.

There is a CCI Quiet (45gr / 835fps) that is designed specifically for Ruger 10/22 and other semi-automatics. It has enough kinetic energy to reliably function the bolt system. It is louder than the 710fps CCI Quiets.

I tested some of the CCI segmented version (splits into 3 petals) and the accuracy was acceptable, but I was pregnant with the target round nose ammo. There have been a couple of occasions that I wished I had it… Large possums
