recommended modifications to SEB NEO

I know there are some widely used modifications available that apparently improves the performance of the SEB NEO rest. Unfortunately, I do not know what they are or where one might obtain the needed updates. If anyone is willing to share this info, I would appreciate your so doing. Thank you all very much in advance. Contact SEB himself, he is a regular poster on this site. Drop him a PM or sometimes just a holler on a thread is enough. I wouldn't go messing with it until I talked to the man himself.

JP, tell me what kind of modification or improvement do you wish to do on your NEO.

And tell me is it the gen-1 or the gen-2.

I think I would like to add the weight system to the front of my rest soon .
Seb do you need to remove lift springs for this to work properly.

Jerry, PM responded.

A j shooter,
For better/smoother operation using the counterweight, yes you need to remove the uplift springs. (This, if you use the rest for light weight guns, say from 10 to 25 lbs)
For heavy guns (say from 40 - 100 lbs), you can maintain the built-in uplift and combine it with a counterweight.

Both Mike & Ernie have the weights (etc) in stock.

Use the one piece bag if your rifles have the same fore-arm width (say 3" or 2.25" only) or whenever possible. We have/can make various bag width, from 1" up to 4" for the NEO, and up to 8" for the MAX.

Hope this help.

- It wouldn't "bite" or trap stock with sharp edge fore-arm on the sides, such as Kelbly Klub etc.
- Provides better/smoother slide as there is no gap or drag between the bottom & side bag such as on the 3pc bag.

If I only have/shoot rifles with 3" wide fore-end I would use the 1pc bag.
If I have/shoot various rifles with various stock width I would use the 3pc bag.
(because the 1pc bag & 3pc bag are compatible/interchangeable, with the same top).
