Recommended 22BR varmint loads for 50-55g varmint bullets?

Hello,
I just bought a used 22BR rifle; came with loaded rounds. I shot a couple very nice groups with ammo provided, but blew /pierced primers in a quarter of loads provided with rifle. I am going to pull the bullets, & plan to drop down powder charges.

Thought I would ask for any recommendations while I am "reconstructing". I have H322, Benchmark, H335, Varget,
VVN135, VVN133 on hand. I generally have used CCI BR-4 primers.

Bullet recommendations & load data, accuracy experiences, would be appreciated. This is a bolt repeater 1/12 twist.

It's real easy to make the 22BR shoot.....probably the easiest gun I ever had. It has a very wide accuracy/velocity window. In one of my 22BR's, 50's and RL15 are the magic combination......unbelievable accuracy from 3700 to 3815, all the way to 3895. Winchester 748 is also very accurate from 3820-4000. Of the powder you list, with a 50 I've had best luck using VV133......very accurate loads at 3880 and 3940. I don't shoot 55's in this gun but would try VV135. Rem. 7-1/2 primer used.

Thanks! I have RL-15, never would have thought of that...
start at what, maybe 30.g rl-15? I have a chrono but never use it...

Viht N135 or Varget and Remington BR primers works pretty well behind any bullet from 52 grains to 80 grains in my 1 in 8 twist Barnard. I use moly coat almost always...I'd be disappointed with a ten round ground outside 1/2".
Most effective bullets in that weight bracket I've found to be 55 Nosler Ballistic Tips and 55 Sierra HPBT (the old design one without the plastic tip or the price tag).

Thanks for the info! I had the chance to try 2 loads. Not the optimum setup, but dead calm.

Will throw it up here for general info...think the right group would be into one hole if I could shoot better. Little wobbly was I...

Love to see other 22BR groups.

Thanks for taking time to respond.

With 50gr bullets, start about 30gr would be fine.

AA2015 is my go to powder for a .22BR. I have recently had great results with 8208. Good luck. ;D

I've had good results with 30.5 gr Benchmark and 50 gr Blitzkings...3750 fps out of a 14 twist Shilen with Remington 7 1/2 primers

Thanks all, how does xbr8208 compare to
Varget, or...where does it fall in burn rate...
I shoot 8208 in 6.5 x 47, that was a used rifle
w load data (8208) provided.

My Rem. 700 with a 26" Hart barrel seems to love The Hornady 53 g V-Max's with 29.6 g of Benchmark, Fed 205M primer and a seating depth of 2.10. Forgot to mention it has a 1-12 twist.
