Recommend Steel Target 300 grain ##8 Lapua

Would like to get a hanging steel target for the 338 lapua & 300 grain bullets.
What type of Steel AR # to go with and what thickness and distance?

I use half inch AR500 at 200yd and beyond and one inch AR500 for 100yd. The extra weight also keeps the smaller 6-8 inch targets from getting too wild when hit at closer ranges.

We have AR 400 @ 3/8's on our 1200 yard targets and it works just fine. Have even shot it with a .375 Chey Tac at that distance with no issues.

We've got lots of 1/2" AR550 on hand and would be glad to cut u something. It's 50 points harder on the Brinnell scale than typical AR500. It should hold up at close range, say 250 yards +. Laser cut round targets with Mickey Mouse hanging ears are in stock in 6", 8", 10" & 12" dia. Haven't put them on the site yet, but we could work it out pretty easily. With 'those rigs'....why shoot on steel at 200 yards?? Zero on paper and THEN move back to 600 yards....or more!!
