recommend a scope for my 22

There are a lot of options. Can you narrow down your wants a little?

Do you want a drop compensation reticle, a simple fine cross, mil dots?

1st focal or second?

Illuminated or not?

Magnification range needed, or fixed mag ok?

Any weight concerns?

club level competition to 50 and 100 yds outdoors and 50 ft indors for winter sporter rifle
prefer second focal lane
illumination doesn't matter
any magnification considered
no weight concerns
it has to focus down to 50 ft

I just put a Sightron STac 4-20 X 50, on my CZ it focuses to 50’, very good resolution and clarity. Better focus adjustment than my Nightforce scopes.
I paid about $400.

I had the Sightron 36X. I have a slight tremor and couldn’t stabilize the reticle. Sold it to a friend and he couldn’t be happier. He uses it at 50- 400 yards.

I recommend the Vortex Strike Eagle 6x24. Eight fellows that I shoot with have bought them on a recommendation. All seem to be quite pleased. Euro-Optic have some left @ $299. Great bang for your buck.

Sightron big sky 1” 6.5-20x50 will focus down to 10 yards as I read it. Side focus, clear , accurate adjustments. Great 22 scope. Mostly unknown scope. Super value Uses high end adjustments from SIII line along with same upper level lens coating. Better than other SII scopes. Also the original zeiss conquest 6.5-20x50. What can I say, it’s a Zeiss made by Meopta, assembled in US. Super bright edge to edge. Using one on my Vudoo and all Dakota Varminters
