recoil lugs-savage

I was replacing my bent recoil lug on my savage 300 rum. I ordered a stockade 1/4 lug and it was .230 and had burrs around the barrel hole making it slight thicker there. So i went and mic'd my SSS .240 lug and it measures .2245. So Im thinking about getting a real precision surface ground lug that is actually 1/4". What is recomended to use as a locating pin on the savage lugs, or does someone make a pin for them???

I grind a slot in the face of my Rem actions to accept SSS Savage lugs. I bought a 223 AI bbl for a Rem that was set up for a Holland 250 lug. I made a press fit bushing whose ID fits the Holland's small dia pin and the OD of the bush is an interference fit in slot in the face of the rec. I did have to grind a flat on the bushing to clear the bbl threads because the pin location on the Holland lug is higher than a Savage specific lug.
