Recoil Lug on a barnard how does it work for a mastin stock

I plan on buying a barnard model p action, I already have the mastin stock with the bedding block, does the barnard come with a recoil lug that works for the mastin stock or whats the deal?

The Barnard doesn't have a recoil lug per se. However, it does have a protruding socket head style screw provision which sits in a recess in the V-block imbedded in the Mastin stock. When you secure the action with three screws through the bedding block (including the screw which engages the protruding bit), it's quite secure.

However, Doan Trevor -- rifle build -- uses a recoil lug which he machines/fastens to the action. Google for 'barnard action bedding block' and then click images in the results, and you'll see pictures.

You might want to contact Mac Tilton of MT Guns. He's the exclusive US importer for Barnard (and Mastin stocks), and knows as much about them as anybody, and more than most. :)
