RECOIL DIFFERENCE

Could use some advive, iv`e got an xp 100 in 7br that I use to shoot 100 yard BR. It has too much recoil for short range BR. Getting ready to order a krieger in 6br for it. Will be shooting 68 gr. bullets in it. That should take care of the recoil issue, but got to thinking about a 22 br. with light bullets, 50 to 55 gr. I wouldn`t think that 18, or so gr. would make much difference. But maybe it will. I am shooting 150 gr. SMK`s right now, thats what the gun likes. i knowe there will be a world of difference between 150 & 68. Do ya think an extra 18 or so gr. difference will make much more difference. Or will the 6MM 68 gr. BERGERS stop this gun from jumping off the bench ? Thanks for the help

There is a noticeable difference in recoil between a 52 gr. 22 caliber and a 68 gr. 6mm bullet.

I'm not much of a pistol shooter, and with that said,,, I have owned an XP 223 and it would even jump with 223 loads.
My thoughts would be a Good Brake on a 6BR or a 22BR would be a super hand gun setup.
BTW,, that xp100 i had was scoped with a Burris 3-12 and would shoot 1/2 '' groups real easy at 100yds from a bipod on a bench.
Good luck in your venture.
