RECOIL, coparison help

I've narrowed down my caliber search to the 6.5X.284, 7mmWSM. Compare these to the recoil of my 10# .308, A-5 stock. The new rifle will be built probably heavier. They will be used 100-1000yds.

With 10-lb rifle, assuming 3000 fps for 142gr MK in 6.5x284, 2950 fps for 180gr VLD in 7WSM, 2700 fps for 175gr MK in .308:

6.5-284 Recoil: 13.85 ft/lbs,50gr charge)

.308 Recoil: 14.98 ft/lbs,45gr charge)

7 WSM Recoil: 22.17 ft/lbs,65gr charge)

Just for grins, a 6.5x47 shooting a .595 BC 130gr Berger VLD at 2950,40gr charge), has 10.35 ft/lbs of energy.

I've heard very little about this 130gn Berger. Their website gives it a BC of 0.595, the same as Sierra estimates for their 142gn! It seems to be a widely held view that Berger publishes "optimistic" BCs - so does anyone have real world experience with this projectile?

Some of the berger bullets I have tested do seem to have "optomistic" B.C.'s. However, sometimes when compared and tested to other match bullets...the advertised B.C.'s seem to be correct. Go Figure.
